Boy Scout Troop 302

Troop 302 is a “Scout Run” troop.  We have learned, and experience has shown, that it is by “doing” that the Scouts truly learn.  Scouts plan, run, and lead the weekly meetings, and lead the outings.

Boy Scout Troop 302 strives to build character, respect, sense of community, and a moral and ethical grounding through an active outdoor program.

In addition to camping, the Scouts and uniformed leaders and adult leaders enjoy activities including backpacking, canoeing, local hikes and more – while accommodating the needs of today’s busy families.

Our Troop’s History

Troop 302 is chartered by Grace Presbyterian Church and has been serving our scouts and our community for more than 50 years.

We are part of the Briones District, part of the Mount Diablo Silverado Council. Our troop currently has over 50 active scouts and 10 uniformed leaders.

Merit Badges

Merit badges are awards earned by youth members of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA), based on activities within an area of study by completing a list of periodically updated requirements. The purpose of the merit badge program is to allow Scouts to examine subjects to determine if they would like to further pursue them as a career or a vocation.
