Our Mission

Troop 302 is a scout-led troop, utilizing the patrol method instituted by Lord Robert Baden-Powell in the first Scout Association in London, England, 1907. The troop is led by our elected Senior Patrol Leader (the highest Scout held position), his Cabinet and Patrol Leaders. The responsibility lies on the Scouts to plan, run and lead weekly meetings, activities and overnights.

We have many active adult leaders who serve as mentors, with the role of guiding and advising the youth leaders of the troop, and passing along the aims and ideals of the Boy Scouts of America.

As a troop, our goal is to instill in each of our Scouts character, confidence and moral fitness, to ignite a passion for nature and the outdoors, and to develop responsibility and skills that will prepare them for life.
